A Connected Advertising Community

For an engaging and interactive discipline, the advertising academic community in Australia and New Zealand has long lacked connectedness. In such a small community, there is perhaps a greater need to share teaching and learning approaches and research expertise to grow the brand of advertising education.

The philosophy of ANZAA then, is to connect with the passion for advertising amongst those who teach it, those who study it, those who practice it and those who might be tempted to reach for the remote control.


  1. To make advertising education a stronger shared venture amongst universities in Australia and New Zealand and between universities and industry bodies.
  2. To give a voice to advertising and marketing communication academics in Australia and New Zealand.
  3. To collaborate and create advertising curricula which is international, innovative and inclusive.
  4. To create a strong and empowering advertising and marketing communication research community that contributes internationally.
